Dan Neubert has been the Chief Operating Officer of 1-888-OhioComp since 2002. He has over 30 years of experience in workers’ compensation, including being the former Director of Medical Claims for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. While at the BWC, he held other key management positions and facilitated several projects including development of the V3 Case Management System.
Dr. Levy is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a practice at the Spine and Orthopedic Institute at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland. He specializes in joint replacement and fracture care and has written extensively on orthopedic issues. Dr. Levy is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and an officer of the Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Hawes specializes in family medicine and is affiliated with the Akron General Medical Center where he serves as the Medical Director for their Health and Wellness Centers. He rejoined 1-888-OhioComp in 2015 where he previously worked from 2001-2012. He is a member of the Summit County Workplace Wellness Symposium Committee and served on the State Bureau of Workers' Compensation Manage Care Organization Medical Director's Committee from 2001-2012. Dr. Hawes is a Clinical Professor in Family Medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine where he has been teaching since 1998.
Lynn has worked for 1-888-OhioComp since 2006 and is the Director of Case Management. She has over 14 years of workers' compensation experience. She has held various positions including case manager and vocational rehabilitation case manager.
Brenda is our newest leader at 1-888-OhioComp since November 2015 and is the Director of Support Services, including oversight of Utilization Management, Utilization Review, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Provider Compliance departments. With over 20 years experience as a registered nurse, she has held various positions with a clinical background in emergency department, care management and critical care. Her last position was the Director of Care Management in the acute hospital setting which encompassed Discharge Planning, Utilization Review, Admitting, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Clinical Appeals and Denials. In the outpatient setting she has worked as an educator to physicians/providers on managed care, billing practices and use of referrals.
Deanna Kazamek has been the Director of Compliance and Projects, including oversight of Human Resources and Quality Assurance, since 2004. She has over 17 years of experience in workers’ compensation and has held various positions including manager of business development and vocational rehabilitation case manager and coordinator.
Anthony Kafiti has been the Director of Information Technology at 1-888-OhioComp since 2000. He led the implementation of MCO Central, 1-888-OhioComp’s web-based claims management software, along with being the Open Enrollment coordinator since 2002.
