Director Dan Neubert has been named
Second Vice President of the Greater
Cleveland Safety Council and will
serve a two-year term ending July
2011. The safety council was formed
in 1917 and is one of the oldest
safety councils in the United
States. The Greater Cleveland Safety
Council is a community-based
organization whose mission is to
reduce accidents and subsequent
injuries, and to educate the public
in matters of safety.
Workers' Compensation Task Force
Pursuant to Senate Resolution
118, Executive Director Dan Neubert
has been appointed by Senator Steve
Beuhrer to serve on the Competitive
Workers' Compensation Task Force.
The 23-member task force, made up of
private- and public-sector
representatives, is charged with the
responsibility of studying
alternatives to Ohio's workers'
compensation system including market
place competition. A report on the
task force findings is due to the
Governor and leaders of the General
Assembly by June 30, 2010.
